Sebastián Fuller Vargas

Biography

Sebastián Fuller Vargas is a Bioengineer (2017–2024) and holds an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Bioinformatics (2021–2024) from the University of Concepción. He specializes in the bioinformatic analysis of omics data and long-read sequencing technologies (Oxford Nanopore).

He currently serves as a Research Assistant and Bioinformatics Specialist, focusing on the analysis of multi-omics datasets in non-model organisms. In addition, he is a lecturer in Chemistry courses for the Nutrition program at the Catholic University of the Most Holy Conception (2026–present). Previously, he taught Biochemistry and Molecular Biology courses at the University of Concepción (2021–2024).

Sebastián also participates in INCAR-related FONDECYT projects and has authored publications in indexed scientific journals (WoS/ISI) and presented his research at both national and international conferences.
