Dra. Marjorie Baquedano

Biography

Marjorie Baquedano is a faculty member at the University of Bío-Bío and an Associate Researcher at the INCAR Center. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Sheffield, and her research focuses on the socioeconomic analysis of small-scale aquaculture, using an intersectional approach and both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She has worked extensively with coastal communities on issues related to social inequalities and territorial vulnerabilities. She has participated in projects funded by ANID, the OECD, SUBPESCA, and FAO, and her work has been published in journals such as Reviews in Aquaculture , Marine Policy , and BMC Public Health .
