Manuel Díaz Gómez

Biography
Manuel Díaz Gómez is a Naval Engineer from the Austral University of Chile and a researcher at the Fisheries Research Program of the Austral University of Chile (UACh), Puerto Montt Campus.
He has been a member of the Fisheries Research Program for more than 15 years, where he conducts research, coordinates projects, and manages the scientific research vessel Dr. Jurguen Winter.
His main areas of expertise include Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Scientific Equipment Development. He has participated as a researcher in several projects funded by FIPA, FONDECYT, and the INCAR FONDAP Center.

- FIPA Project 2025-06: Determination of concentration levels and chemical speciation of organic and inorganic arsenic in commercially important bivalve mollusks and macroalgae intended for human consumption.
