Biography

Dr. Carlos Chávez is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universidad de Talca, Principal Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research – Applied Research (INCAR²) – CIA-ANID, an Associate Researcher at the Environmental and Natural Resource Economics Research Nucleus (NENRE-EfD-Chile), and serves as Co-Editor of the journal Environment and Development Economics and Associate Editor of Aquaculture Economics and Management.

Chávez has written extensively on the design and evaluation of environmental and natural resource management policies. His research findings have been published in leading scientific journals, including Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Nature Sustainability, Nature Communications, Environmental and Resource Economics, Marine Resource Economics, Journal of Regulatory Economics, Environment and Development Economics, Journal of Environmental Management, Marine Policy, and Reviews in Aquaculture, among others.
