Events CIA-INCAR² is a space dedicated to the dissemination of congresses, seminars, workshops, launches, calls for proposals and scientific events linked to aquaculture and applied research.

Here we share opportunities for meeting, knowledge exchange and collaboration between academia, the productive sector and decision-makers, highlighting initiatives oriented toward innovation, sustainability and the development of aquaculture from an interdisciplinary perspective.

SRS 2026 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

SRS 2026 is the first International Conference aimed at advancing the fight against piscirickettsiosis and its bacterial agents, to be held in the city of Puerto Varas, Chile, on 9 and 11 November 2026.

The aim of the meeting is to create a space for interdisciplinary exchange that allows presenting and discussing the most recent advances in the study of piscirickettsiosis, as well as disseminating new findings, innovative technologies and applied solutions for its control.

The program will be structured into four thematic modules, designed to promote, through science and technology, the development of strategies that strengthen the health and sustainability of salmon farming globally.

The participation of researchers, industry professionals, regulatory and health authorities, as well as representatives of civil society interested in addressing one of the most relevant diseases affecting salmon farming, is expected.

Likewise, the program will include spaces oriented toward fostering critical analysis and networking among participants, addressing key aspects such as diagnosis, epidemiology, therapeutic strategies and the environmental and socioeconomic impact of this disease.

EPIMAR 2027

Welcome to the Fourth International Symposium on Epigenetics in Marine and Aquatic Research (EPIMAR 2027), set to take place in Puerto Varas, Chile, from May 25 to 28, 2027.

EPIMAR first took place in Montpellier, France, in October 2020. Despite being held online due to the pandemic, it attracted participants from across the globe, highlighting the immense interest in the field. This was followed by successful editions in Woods Hole, USA (2022) and Barcelona, Spain (2025). Now it's time for Chile.

EPIMAR 2027 will bring together a global community of scientists exploring epigenetic and epigenomic mechanisms that influence the biology, adaptation, and evolution of marine organisms. Our goal is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue across marine biology, genomics, aquaculture, and environmental sciences.
