Dr. Carlos Molinet Flores
Principal Investigator
Biography
Dr. Carlos Molinet is a faculty member at the Austral University of Chile and the INCAR Center, where he works as a researcher and lecturer in the field of biological and environmental sciences. His research focuses on marine ecology and coastal management, mainly related to benthic species, with strong emphasis on estuarine ecosystems of the inland sea of southern Chile.
Throughout his career, Dr. Molinet has participated in numerous research projects and has published articles in specialized journals, contributing significantly to knowledge on biodiversity and the sustainable management of aquatic resources. His commitment to training new generations of scientists makes him a leading figure in the academic community. In addition, his work includes advising coastal communities in southern Chile, participating in science communication initiatives, and promoting the importance of management for conservation and responsible use of natural resources.
